I am going to tell you about my school. My school is new and modern and I like it very much. It has three floors. The classrooms are light and spacious. There are classrooms for different subjects, such as English, History, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Biology Literature etc.

There is a computer class in our school. We study computer science here. The computer class has the most modern equipment and the Internet access.

We’ve also an assembly hall, which is situated on the second floor. Meetings, conferences, concerts and all the celebrations take place here. We prepare different performances for all holidays. We sing songs, recite poetry, dance, and participate in theatre performances.

There are many opportunities to go in for sports in our school. Our school has a gym, a sports ground, a football field, a swimming pool, and other sports facilities. There are many different sports groups: table tennis, swimming, athletics, football, volleyball, wrestling, and rhythmic gymnastics. Many pupils of our school attend these sports groups.

In our school we have also painting group, dance group, theatre group and rock group. All these groups are very popular and many pupils attend them.

The teachers in our school are very skilled. They try to give us all their knowledge and awake our interest to their subjects and to self study. Besides the school subjects, our teachers tell us about everything, about different problems of our world, such as ecology, nature protection, climat changes etc.

There is a good tradition in our school. Every year people who graduated our school come here to meet their teachers and classmates. These meetings take place every first Saturday of February.

I think that school years are very important for every person. It’s a period of becoming adult, achieving knowledges, and choosing your way in life. Often school friends remain your friends for all your life. So I’ll never forget my school, my teachers, and my classmates.

В нашей школе также есть кружки рисования, танцев, театральный кружок и рок-группа. Все эти кружки очень популярны и многие ученики посещают их.

В нашей школе преподают очень квалифицированные учителя. Они стараются передать нам все свои знания и пробудить интерес к своим предметам и к самообразованию. Учителя не только преподают нам школьные предметы, но и рассказывают обо всем, о различных мировых проблемах, таких как экология, охрана природы, климатические изменения и т.д.

В нашей школе есть хорошая традиция. Каждый год выпускники школы приходят на встречу с учителями и одноклассниками. Эти встречи проходят каждую первую субботу февраля.

Я считаю, что школьные годы очень важны для каждого человека. Это период взросления, приобретения знаний и выбора жизненного пути. Очень часто школьные друзья остаются вашими друзьями на всю жизнь. Поэтому я никогда не забуду мою школу, учителей и одноклассников.

My name is Ann. I’m thirteen years old. I’m a pupil of a state secondary school. At the moment I’m studying in the 7th form. In a few years I’ll finish the school and I’m planning to enter a university. I wonder what the school of the future will be like. I think it will change a lot for the better. For example, at the moment my school is situated in quite an old building, but our principal says that in the nearest future some renovations will take place. So I believe that in two or three years the school will look much better and newer. Another thing I would change in my school is the size of the rooms. Our group consists of twenty-eight pupils and some classrooms are so small that there is hardly enough space for all of us. So I’d like the classrooms to be larger and lighter. We have recently started learning computer science and there is a new well-equipped classroom for this subject. We love attending computer lessons, but sometimes there aren’t enough computers for everyone. Besides they are quite big and occupy lots of space in the room. I’m sure that in the future everybody will have a personal computer and the school will buy more modern technology for its pupils. We also enjoy PE (Physical Education) but I’d like those lessons to become more interesting. We only play in the schoolyard and do some exercises. I think that swimming lessons in summer and skiing in winter would be a good idea. I hope that some changes will take place before I finish school.	Меня зовут Анна. Мне 13 лет. Let’s try to imagine the world without education, without any schools, colleges and universities. What would that be like? No school means no knowledge and skills. No university means no doctors, no engineers and no scientists. Therefore, it means no development and no inventions. Would you like to live in the world that is deteriorating? The answer is quite obvious: it’s vitally important to study and get an education.

Nowadays there’re different kinds of education, but the most wide-spread is still the traditional one that includes the set of establishments providing education. For the vast majority of people, the first step is a primary school where students get the basic skills of reading, writing and counting. The next stage is secondary school which gives broad knowledge about various subjects and prepares students for future professional education. At the end of the last form school children take exams and after school graduation they have several options: to stop studying and get a job or get professional education in college or university. Students’ life is not easy because they have to take exams every term and study hard to succeed. Nevertheless, most people remember students’ years as the best time of their lives, full of fun and entertainment.

However, modern world is full of new opportunities to get education. More and more schools and universities provide on-line courses and trainings. It has some advantages for sure, because you study in a comfortable place at comfortable time. Also, some alternative ways are becoming more and more popular, e.g. home education or some approaches connected with developing the mind without books and strict systems.

As for me, I’m fully convinced that, no matter what kind of education you support, it’s necessary to study and develop your skills, to use the experience of others to create your own ideas in order to implement them to life.

Однако, современный мир полон новых возможностей получения образования. Все больше и больше школ и университетов предлагают онлайн курсы и тренинги. В этом, конечно, также есть свои преимущества, так как обучение проходит в удобном месте, в удобное время. This is my last year at school and my teachers say it"s going to be a pretty stressful year and a lot depends on how well I do. I should make a decision what to do by the end of this year. There are many alternatives - either to continue my education at a high school or to go to a college, or probably start working. I think I would choose to go on with the education and would go to high school later on.

Pursuing the education and getting the degree is very important for my future career. I"m going to become a tourism manager. There are certain skills and qualifications that a tourism manager should develop. I should have good command of English, Russian, geography. I also have computer skills and should be good at modern computer programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

A tourism manager also has to get economic and psychological education as well. A good manager must be able to give tourists detailed options on where, when and how to spend their time and enjoy their vacation the most. A tourism manager also needs to have good skills at arranging transfers and travel plans for the tourists in their area of choice to visit or stay. A tourism manager needs to be good at creating activities that would ensure a fantastic experience and ever-lasting memories for any tourist visiting any particular area.

After leaving the school I"d like to go to one of the several tourism departments that have been established at our local … University.

A degree would give me more opportunities in finding a good and well-paid job.

These are only my plans for the future. I have to put a lot of efforts to perform well now. I have to keep up with the work load and not to put it off till late.
